Never quite liked this term.
Or rather; I don't see the relevance.
More rather; I don't see the insult. Would you fare better without the legacy of "anger" expressed by males of fair complexion - here I would like to mention Voltaire, Montesquieu, Jefferson, Immanuel Kant, even Rousseau, for all the carnage done in the intellectual tradition of rage-driven progress in which he made a name. Strike out "male" for mere "white rage" and I would like to add this mark to the early pioneers of Western feminism, to the auspices of brave contemporary authors such as Mary Wollstonecraft and Marie Gouze, both of which paid a heavy price for their maternities.
Rights are usually born amidst anger and rage. If that is indeed what to call it.
